This year, we celebrate the 11th annual IEEE Day across the globe on 6 October. In the spirit of IEEE Day 2020, we are delighted to host the “IEEE Singapore Festival 2020”. Beginning on 6 October, the festival, spanning two weeks, will include an all-virtual series of technical and professional talks, networking sessions, social activities, and fun contests.

Mr. Ivan Choong, Professional member of CDAS
An engineer by training, Ivan graduated with a Diploma in Manufacturing from German Singapore Institute (GSI) in 1994. After NS (1996), he joined Hewlett Packard Singapore as a Technical Specialist before completing his 4 years (1998-2002) Bachelor of Technology (Mech) from NUS. Ivan was promoted to a Process Engineer in 2002 where he continue to stay in the engineering field for the next 11 years, having took on various roles in the manufacturing environment such as New Product Integration (NPI), Technical Lead, Planning and Production and finally in HP R&D. He finally ended his 16 years engineering career in 2013 as a Senior R&D Engineer to join one of the Big 4 (Ernst & Young LLP, Advisory) as a Management Consultant focusing on Strategy, Business Process Planning and analytics. In 2017, Ivan decided to switch his path to become a career coach and joined NTU Career & Attachment Office as the Assistant Director helming Experiential Learning, Mentorship, Outreach and Mass Recruitment.
